I've always been a stronger lyricist than anything else. Perfect Stranger is set to my music and that of Barry Knoedl and Bill Kern, partnering producers at Beat Bad Records. Backed by a crew who deftly handled all three pop-rock styles. "Dreams Are Born To Die", surreal poetry, echoes the old San Francisco sound and seductive ballad “Let's Get Something Started" hints at the British Invasion’s Gerry & The Pacemakers.
For cynical turns "Perfect Stranger and "Tradewinds", Barry waxes sharp, warm and laid back.
For “Working Girl", homage to street walkers and sexual social climbers, Bill classic rocking to a tee.
I'll never make the next vocalist nervous, but the material is done justice.
Enjoy. - Dwight Hobbes
