1994 was a banner year for Bill & Barry. Twenty-One Songs were recorded that year. They began a steady recording schedule at the end of July, 1994, and had recorded quite a few songs by September. That was when Bill suggested that they return to their Chrstmas album project. Bill & Barry had wrtten and recorded a couple of Christmas songs in December of 1981. In December of 1991, they began re-recording final produced versions of their Chrstmas songs, but they only recorded one or two songs each year, usually in December. By December, 1993 they had completed five songs. If they were really going to make a Christmas album, they would have to start before December. Over the next two and a half weeks, they wrote and recorded seven more songs, and finished mixing the album around Halloween.
Of the thirteen songs recorded before Bill & Barry began working on the Christmas album, five were included on Heart Attack, seven appear here, and one remains unreleased. The remaining six songs on this album were recorded, two in 1995, and the remaining songs between 2001 and 2005.
HARMONY was written on December 31, 2005, three days after Bill Kern was murdered during a robbery in his store. Barry performed this song at Bill's funeral as part of his eulogy.
