Bill Kern and Barry Knoedl created The Badbeats specifically to record obscure Lennon - McCartney songs that were never released by The Beatles. They were the very first artists to ever release Tip Of My Tongue and One and One Is Two in the United States The original vinyl single is still available on our vinyl catalog page.
Of the twelve songs on this album, only one was on an official release. That's I'll Get You, which was the B side of She Loves You, making it rare enough that many younger fans may not know it.
Most of these songs were originally recorded in 1976-78. We tried to produce a sound that we felt recreated that early Beatles sound. From the very beginning this was a labor of love, and a humble tribute to our favorite band in the world.
